For Australians diagnosed with blood cancer who live in regional, rural or remote areas, a blood cancer diagnosis can result in the patient having to spend weeks or months living away from home while they access medical treatment in major city hospitals.
To help reduce a patient’s stress and financial burden, the Leukaemia Foundation has established no-cost accommodation facilities close to some major hospitals.
Your nomination for the Leukaemia Foundation will go towards funding medical grade air purifiers within these accommodation facilities, offering an additional COVID-19 protective measure for patients and their carers.
