- Honda Super-ONE set to go on sale 2H 2026
- Honda Super-ONE will launch having completed testing on Australian roads
Developed from the Honda Super EV concept first unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this year, Honda Super-ONE marries fun to drive dynamics with trademark Honda innovation.
Honda Australia President and CEO, Jay Joseph said Honda Super-ONE is a fun and unique option for city-living Australians.
“Honda Super-ONE is a unique proposition for Australians living and working in dense urban environments, blending small car usability with premium Honda design and engineering,” said Mr. Joseph.
“Developed from Japanese Kei car concepts, Honda Super-ONE is designed to be an agile, quiet and playful inner-city EV that’s as fun to drive as it is to own.”
Underlining its convenience and agility in urban environments, Honda Super-ONE measures less than 3.6m long and less than 1.6m wide. Complemented by light and direct handling, Honda Super-ONE’s city-car credentials promise a playful drive experience at home negotiating tight city streets.
Adding to the element of joy are a variety of features that make the driving experience more exciting for our customers, including Boost Mode where, when the driver steps down on the accelerator, the power output surges instantly, and just like in a conventional engine-powered vehicle, engine sound fills the cabin in sync with the feeling of the gears shifting.
A key part of Honda Super-ONE’s development has been extensive testing in the densely populated cities of Japan, as well as across stretching open roads. Compatibility to a range of EV charging solutions has also been an integral part of the program.
Committed to ensuring the fun and nimble EV is the right fit for Australian roads, Honda Super-ONE will launch with the benefit of local and international testing under its belt, ensuring its composed ride and handling, charging solution, and vehicle safety systems perform optimally in congested Australian CBDs.
“Honda is renowned for our attention to detail and reliability. That’s why the Honda Super-ONE will launch in Australia following completion of a local testing program,” said Mr. Joseph.
“It is important that our customers have confidence the same commitment to quality Honda has delivered consistently over the past 55 years in Australia extends into the new EV and e:HEV era.”
Honda Super-ONE was recently unveiled and confirmed for production at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, alongside the elegant 0 Series SALOON and 0 Series SUV. Honda Super-ONE will launch in 2026 in Australia following the introductions of the all-new Prelude, and updated e:HEV line-ups of CR-V and Honda ZR-V.
