Entering the weekend ninth in the standings, D'Alberto and the Wall Racing-prepared Honda Australia Civic Type R FL5 TCR were in sync on the model’s first appearance at the venue. D'Alberto said "The car was absolutely flying. I've got to thank the boys that work on the car, they engineered it into an amazing rocket.
D'Alberto qualified second, missing pole by just 0.013s as he went on to dominate the opening race after winning the start.
"We just couldn't have asked for a better weekend,” said D’Alberto. The win was his first for the 2024 season.
In Race 2's reverse top 10 race, D'Alberto made an aggressive opening lap charge, seeing him pick up six positions to finish fourth. Making another great launch in the final, it was another dominant victory for D'Alberto.
Pressure did come early, but the 2022 Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series winner was able to build a comfortable margin to take the chequered flag for the second time.
D'Alberto climbed two spots in the standings as he aims to bridge the gap to the title leaders at the remaining rounds of the season.
"We had some fantastic results, which really repays everybody's work at Wall Racing. All the hard work that I do as well, and also the support that I get from Honda Australia and all my other sponsors as well" said D'Alberto. "Now we go to the final two rounds of the season with some confidence, and hopefully we can get some more results like this."
