Their judges highlighted “The CR-V has an enormous array of competitors with which to do battle. That makes its win all the more impressive. The interior is high-quality, spacious and versatile, while the turbo-petrol and hybrid powertrains are responsive and refined, and the ride and handling balance is superb for this segment”.

“After launching the sixth-generation CR-V here in 2023, Honda hasn't been satisfied standing still. The latest updates further burnish an excellent mid-size SUV.”

This past year the CR-V celebrated it’s global 30th anniversary, showcasing the long-standing reputation for spaciousness and reliability. Launching in Australia in 1997, the first-generation CR-V positioned itself as weekend-ready, boasting a removable picnic table integrated into the cargo floor, giving Aussies the freedom to pitch up for lunch any time, any place.

Today, CR-V remains a flagship SUV choice for Australian families with five and seven-seat options, powered by a class-leading hybrid engine with a highly efficient petrol variant also available.

The 2026 line up has been refreshed with additional hybrid variants, 2WD and AWD hybrid, and a seven-seat option ensuring there’s a CR-V for everyone.

The already award-winning Civic has gained another prestigious award with its reputation of quality and reliability. Many reviewers highlight the Civic’s design, noting how it has shifted to a more refined and technological vehicle.
