2017 Shaping Up as a Stellar Year for Honda Australia

After the success of 2016 with the arrival of the all-new Honda Civic Sedan and the flagship NSX hybrid supercar, Honda Australia is aiming to eclipse its 2016 new product roll out with one of the busiest launch years ever in 2017.

The arrival of the Honda Civic Hatch, Civic Type R and all-new CR-V in 2017 will ensure the brand is front-of-mind with customers across many segments, according to Honda Australia director, Mr. Stephen Collins.

“With the Honda Civic Sedan laying really strong groundwork for our ‘One Civic’ plan, the addition of the hatch and performance Type R will ensure our customers know the Honda Civic is well and truly back in the small car game,” he said.

“Not only that, but the all-new CR-V will arrive into one of the most important segments in the country.”

Mr. Collins said the company had already taken a group of dealers to Japan to see the new CR-V and their response was overwhelmingly positive. “It will be one of the most eagerly anticipated launches of 2017,” he said.

“The momentum we’ve built in 2016 will continue into 2017 – you’ll see and hear more about Honda than ever before.”

Apart from its three key launches in the Honda Civic Hatch, Type R and CR-V, Honda Australia also plans to ensure its remaining product portfolio remains relevant with customers.

“We are committed to ensuring that we give our customers consistent and fresh product updates across our portfolio throughout the year. The company is planning 10 other brand actions during 2017 to ensure that our vehicles keep pace with our customers’ lifestyles and needs.

“As part of this, we will continue with our Limited Edition strategy, which provides customers with a compelling reason to buy Honda models equipped with the extra features they value.”

Already receiving rave reviews in the North American market, when the Honda Civic Hatch arrives it will feature the same model line-up as the sedan – VTi, VTi-S, VTi-L, RS and the range topping VTi-LX.

“The hatch’s bold styling is contemporary and sporty, while at the same time providing great interior packaging, high quality finishes and the premium features small car customers want,” Mr. Collins said.
