Environmental Policy

In line with the theme of Honda Motor Company to act as responsible members of society, whose task lies in the preservation of the global environment, our company will make every effort to contribute to the human health and the preservation of the global environment in each phase of our corporate activity.



  • Complying with ISO 14001 the International Standard for Environmental Management Systems.
  • Addressing the management of energy within its operations to ensure that energy from non-renewable sources is used as efficiently as possible and greenhouse gas emissions are minimised.
  • Reducing the use of natural resources (i.e. water)
  • Minimising waste and pollution in all our operations and ensure effective recycling programs are maintained.
  • Ensuring adherence to all Federal, State and Local Environmental Agency Regulations.
  • Developing appropriate tools and resources for our franchised Dealers to ensure that they also, are continuously acting as responsible corporate citizens.
  • Working with our suppliers to achieve sound environmental practices at all levels of production whilst ensuring stable supplies of materials, parts and accessories for Honda Australia's operations.
  • Establish programs to achieve agreed environmental objectives and targets appropriate to our activities.
  • Promoting an awareness of environmental issues with all persons working for or on behalf of the organisation and provide the training and resources that will enable them to actively contribute to fulfilling our environmental objectives and targets.
  • Conducting regular environmental audits and assessments of compliance with company and legal requirements and periodically providing appropriate information to Honda's Board of Directors, associates, authorities and the public.
  • Promoting this commitment by making copies of this policy freely available to associates and the public.

OH&S Policy

Honda Australia Pty Ltd is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all associates, contractors and visitors and will do all that is reasonably practicable to ensure safe and healthy work practices, including ongoing communication, awareness raising and active reporting of hazards and incidents.



We are committed to:

  • Complying with the Occupational Health and Safety Standard AS/NZS 4801:2001.
  • Ensuring that safety and health is an integral part of the management of Honda Australia Pty Ltd and is considered equal with all other policies of the organisation.
  • Complying with all relevant legislation, subordinate documents, standards and applicable policies and procedures.
  • Establishing measurable OH & S objectives and targets and ensuring continual improvement aimed at elimination of work-related injury and illness.
  • Encouraging and supporting associates, contractors and visitors’ contributions to the improvement of safety and health through appropriate consultation, information, training and supervision.
  • Ensuring this policy is made freely available to interested parties, including associates and the public.



Honda Australia Pty Ltd recognises that management has the overall responsibility to provide a safe and healthy workplace through the effective implementation of this policy.

Every Honda Australia Pty Ltd associate, contractor and visitor is responsible for ensuring that work activities are undertaken in a safe manner and in accordance with OH & S training, procedures and policies.

This Occupational Health & Safety policy will be reviewed periodically as part of the management review process.
