About the Role

 

This is an exciting opportunity to support the Sales Planning department in generating and maintaining reports, preparation of presentations. sales forecasting, stock management and campaign formulation. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Sales Forecasting and Stock Management 

  • Forecasting wholesales on a monthly basis 
  • Assisting Senior Sales Planners in sales forecasting 
  • Assisting in the maintenance of accurate stock and sales data 
  • Maintaining Excel workbooks including links, formulas and macros 
  • Assist Senior Sales Planners in developing stock management strategies in conjunction with other internal stakeholders 
  • Assist in coordinating product introduction activities in conjunction with internal stakeholders 
  • Submitting monthly production orders to global factories in line with monthly schedules and procedures 

 

 Campaign Management 

  • Assist in developing campaigns, proposing within budget and measuring the effectiveness of monthly sales programmes 

 

Report Generation 

  • Reporting on sales performance against key business KPIs on a regular basis as required 
  • Monitor and report on competitor products and campaigns to maintain a database of their position in relation to Honda's product line up 
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations reporting on sales performance 
  • Communication - sharing information with internal & external stakeholders 

 

Factory Liaison 

  • Build trusted relationships with international colleagues and assist in addressing queries or requests. 

About you

  • Minimum 2 years experience in sales and/or marketing
  • Degree qualified in Marketing or Business
  • Advanced Excel and Power Point skills
  • Experience in analysing data utilising analytical tools and identifying meaningful insights including trends and changes 
  • Logical thinker & decision maker 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Problem solving ability 
  • Experience in an analytical role ideally within the automotive industry
  • Team player

Senior Business Analyst/Senior Sales Planner (Aftersales)

About the Role

 

An exciting Melbourne-based opportunity is currently available with Honda Australia, for a strategic minded and driven Senior Sales Planner to develop tactical and long term parts sales & pricing strategies. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop & deliver parts sales and pricing strategies to drive continued business growth 
  • Identify opportunities to achieve sales growth through analysis and data interpretation; develop meaningful insights and turn them into actionable opportunities 
  • Maintain and update weekly reports and execute detailed analysis to drive and improve sales 
  • Partner with large Honda parts dealers to communicate reports, develop meaningful analysis and findings, then report to relevant stakeholders both internally and externally 
  • Work in partnership with the wider Aftersales team in the development and execution of strategies 
  • Manage development, proposal and presentation of dealer incentives 
  • Manage all aspects of co-ordination & growth of supporting Honda Programs (eg. Honda Genuine Oil and Honda Tyre Centre) 
  • Lead development and proposals for major strategic projects 
  • Co-ordinate internal budget setting and targets 
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy 
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting as required by the business 
  • Lead development of presentations for:
    • Monthly Board Reviews
    • Quarterly reviews (both internally and with Asia & Oceania (A&O) regional office)
    • Bi-annual A&O Parts & Service Managers meetings
    • Strategic proposals to Senior Leadership Team (SLT) & Board

 

About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • A passion for working as part of a team as well as drive, ambition, and a strategic mindset. 
  • Experience in sales planning, budgeting, & incentive co-ordination 
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills 
  • Strong market analysis and ability to map out future trends 
  • Understanding of basic budgeting and forecast process 
  • Ability to interpret data meaningfully, identify trends and develop action plans/countermeasures 
  • Commercially minded and great at seeing the bigger picture to provide relevant insights/recommendations 
  • Strong Communication skills; can interpret and report sales data to various internal and external stakeholders 
  • A passion for root cause analysis problem solving 
  • Highly skilled in PowerPoint and Excel (can use macros and formulas for analysis and insights 
  • Exposure to and knowledge of product life cycle management 
  • Demonstrated project management skills 
  • Ability to use ERP/analytical tools like SAP and Cognos 
  • Understanding of Australian Automotive market is preferable 
  • Solid knowledge of sales metrics and proven sales analysis experience within the wholesale and retail apparel industry is advantageous.
