About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to support the Sales Planning department in ordering and managing vehicle stock, generating and maintaining reports, preparation of presentations and forecasting.   

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Ordering and Stock Management

  • Submitting monthly production orders to global factories in line with monthly schedules and procedures
  • Forecasting wholesales on a monthly basis
  • Assist Sales Planners in sales & stock management in conjunction with other internal stakeholders
  • Assisting in the maintenance of accurate stock and sales data
  • Maintaining Excel workbooks including links, formulas and macros
  • Assist in coordinating product introduction activities in conjunction with internal stakeholders

Factory Liaison

  • Build trusted relationships with international colleagues and assist in addressing queries or requests.

Campaign Management

  • Participating in sales campaign development, presentation, implementation and measuring the effectiveness of monthly programmes

Report Generation

  • Reporting on sales performance against key business KPIs on a regular basis as required
  • Monitor and report on competitor products and campaigns to maintain a database of their position in relation to Honda's product line up
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations reporting on sales performance
  • Communication - sharing information with internal & external stakeholders

About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in sales / demand planning and stock management
  • Degree qualified in Business
  • Advanced Excel and Power Point skills
  • Experience in analysing data utilising analytical tools and identifying meaningful insights
  • Logical thinker & decision maker
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Problem solving ability
  • Automotive industry experience highly regarded
  • Team player

About the Role

An exciting Melbourne-based opportunity is currently available with Honda Australia, for an innovative and self-motivated District Sales Manager to manage all aspects of the Sales and Customer Satisfaction activities for a group of dealers to ensure sustained sales growth and maximise customer retention.

  

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the Sales operations and KPIs for a group of dealers within the region to ensure sales objectives and other key KPI’s are met
  • Develop dealers, identify performance gaps, collaboratively develop and implement action plans to ensure that CSI targets are met within agreed time frames
  • Manage and oversee retention strategies and countermeasures for a portfolio of dealers to meet customer retention targets
  • Manage and oversee marketing within a portfolio of Honda dealerships in order to ensure Honda’s quality and value for money proposition is communicated and sales are maximized at every opportunity
  • Work with dealers to manage their Sales operations to meet or exceed Best Practice. Areas include but are not limited to lead generation, enquiry management, sales operations, stock and demo requirements
  • Work with dealers to maximise customer satisfaction and ensure that all customer issues/concerns are managed through to a satisfactory conclusion

About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in Business Development
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to persuasively communicate and build relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – with an eye for detail and an understanding of business and legal risk in commercial undertakings.  
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint skills
  • Customer focus and dedication to meeting and exceeding customer expectations
  • An understanding of dealership operations and workings in the Australian motor vehicle market (Preferred but not essential)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or similar (Preferred but not essential)
