Jazz

Safety

Jazz has been designed with an array of safety features that ensure high levels of driver and occupant protection.

Anti-lock brakes

Sometimes you need to brake hard in an emergency. If you do, Jazz’s anti-lock braking system (ABS) stops you going into a skid. Even on wet roads, the system gently pumps the brakes, so your wheels don’t lock.

SRS airbags

Jazz features SRS airbags for both the driver and front seat passenger. These potentially life-saving devices provide head and chest protection in the unlikely event of a frontal collision.

Front seatbelt pretensioners

All five seating positions are fitted with 3-point seatbelts (also known as lap-sash seatbelts). Front seat passengers also receive the added benefit of seatbelt pretensioners, for even greater protection.

G-force control

G-force control (G-Con) uses front & rear crumple zones to absorb crash forces by progressively deforming. In a side impact, door and floor beams transmit lateral forces beneath the cabin, preserving the space within.

Central fuel tank

Honda engineers have located the fuel tank centrally beneath the floor. The protective car body meets the world’s strictest government safety standards, giving you driving confidence.

Pedestrian safety

Jazz has an unobstructed area between the bonnet and engine, bonnet hinges that compress upon impact, and even energy absorbing wiper pivots that all contribute to minimise potential injury to pedestrians.
